After using MAC for about a year now I decided it was time for me to find a different foundation a little bit more affordable for my daily make up and leave the MAC one for special occasions or for the weekends. That said, I don’t like spending money on things that aren’t good enough for me or my skin so I wasn’t happy with a very cheap skin-damaging foundation.

After looking around for what it seemed about an hour I decided to head over the Max Factor counter as they have a 3x2 offer at the moment. There was so much to chose from and to be honest, I didn’t really know which was would be best for me. I was looking for a full coverage base that would hide the redness on my skin but that it wouldn’t look too thick for a day look so after a few minutes trying to decide by myself I thought it’d be best to ask the counter’s MUA and it was the best thing I could’ve done!

She tried different foundations on my skin and we came up with a daily routine that is perfect for my skin. So here’s what I got:

- Face Finity Primer £10.99

First of all, the primer. I have been using a BB primer for a long time and it's about to run out so when she put that one on my face and I felt my skin I definately decided to give this one a go. Max Factor All Day Facefinity makes your foundation last longer and stay matte throughout the day. It does the job perfectly.

- Color Corrector Stick £9.99

Unfortunately I suffer from redness on my skin every now and then, especially on my cheeks. This stick is very easy to use and you can use it before or after the foundation. I personally like it before the foundation. It covers all redness and I'd dare to say even the few little spots that you may have. They have different colour bars, all of them for different results; redness, highlighter, dark spots, dark circles and dullness. I got the green one for redness.

- Miracle Touch Foundation £12.99

I must say I am very pleased with this foundation. It's exactly what I was looking for and considering that Max Factor is a bit of a higher end brand, £13 is a very good price for it. It comes with a sponge in a separate compartment but it's better to use a foundation brush I find and use the sponge just for when re-touching after a few hours. It has a very soft and creamy texture, almost like if you're not wearing anything!

- Lipfinity (gift) and False Lash Effect (gift)

You get a free gift when you buy the FF Primer and that's the new Lipfinity lipgloss and the mascara. I was surprised to get that as well as the 3x2 offer. I still haven't tried either of them but as far as I can read on other reviews, people seem quite happy with them. I'll make sure to review them after I've tried them a few times!

- BarryM Foundation Brush £5.99

I get a new brush every time I get a new foundation. Although my favorite brush will always be my Bobbie Brown Full Coverage Brush (here) I find that every now and then I have to set it aside for a few days after cleaning it. The BarryM foundation brush is a good alternative for a few days and it's price is also very good. I feel like I have to clean it after every use tho but it is quite easy to wash and it dries within a couple of hours.

So this is my week's Max Factor's Haul. Have you tried any of this products? What are your favorite primers and foundations for redness?

Adiós amigas! :)
